Bible Course 2026 We will be running the Bible Society's excellent Bible Course again this year, with an option for evening (Thursday) or day-time (Friday morning). The course is good for people new to Christianity, ideal as a follow-on from Alpha or for mature Christians wanting to increase their understanding of the Bible. Over 8 weeks it explores all the books of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, looking at why the books were written, key themes, writing styles and how they all lead us to a greater understanding of the salvation work of Jesus. The course runs for eight weeks from Thursday 1st October (7:30 to 9:00pm) and Friday 2nd October (10:00 to 11:30am) , using videos and group discussion. The cost is £10 for a course manual. Sign-up is available at (add link). For more information please contact Neil Carne (alpha@stastb.church).
Join us on Sat 10th at 7pm for St Andrew's Got Talent — an evening of fun, laughter and amazing talents! Whether you sing, dance, play an instrument or have a hidden talent, we'd love you to take part! St Andrew's Got Talent (09-Oct-2026) · ChurchSuite Events
🏠 Could You Open Your Home to a Youth Ministry Intern?
We're looking for one host family to welcome a young adult male intern into their home ideally from October through to the summer. He is passionate about youth ministry and growing in his faith, and this is a wonderful opportunity to play a meaningful part in his journey. We appreciate that hosting for a whole academic year is a huge commitment so we are open to exploring the possibility of willing families hosting on a termly basis. Respite hosting can also be arranged during holidays or whenever you need your spare room back, so there's flexibility for your family too. Have a look at the Host Home Pack and Home & Hosting Survey below for more information. Questions? Email our Youth Pastor Jamie at jamie@stastb.church or our host family liaison Charlie at charlotteeflores@gmail.com

Giving at St Andrew's and St Bartholomew's
Generous giving is an integral part of Christian discipleship. The apostle Paul says that giving is a primary responsibility for Christians: 'But since you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you – see that you also excel in this grace of giving. 2 Cor 8:7. For more information on how to give and where your money goes please download our giving flyer here.

Pastoral Care
As part of our Christian community, we provide mutual support for one another. Much of this happens informally with friends within the church and through the connect groups. However, sometimes people will require more personal support and encouragement either as a 'one-off chat' or on a more ongoing basis. For a conversation with someone on our Pastoral Care Team contact the office admin@stastb.church or phone 01452 712154 during office hours. For issues concerning safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable adults, see our website https://www.stastb.church/safeguarding For other useful contacts including Gloucester Adults helpdesk, Domestic abuse support services, Samaritans or Gloucester NHS Crisis team, visit https://gloucester.anglican.org/about-us/safeguarding/contacts/
