Sunday 23rd August marks the close of St Bart's 850th anniversary celebrations, with a special Festival Evensong at 5pm. We'd love you to come and join us for this very special occasion! The church will also be open from 1–4pm, so why not pop in to explore, soak up the atmosphere, or simply enjoy a little respite from the summer heat? Refreshments will be available at St Bart's Cottage throughout the afternoon.
Pastoral Care Coordinator
We have received a significant legacy which has been given for the specific purpose of further developing pastoral care for the elderly and those who are isolated, including those in our communities and those who cannot attend church due to poor health. The PCC has agreed to advertise and appoint a Pastoral Care Coordinator for 15 hours per week - the legacy should enable funding of this position for up to 6 years.
Our Pastoral Care Team – often serving unseen – plays a vital role in offering prayer, guidance and support to our church family and beyond. We thank them for their dedicated service. It is not the intention that this appointment will replace that but rather add to it, help to coordinate it and seek further opportunities.
It is anticipated that the advert will be placed at the beginning of September. Please do pray for this appointment and speak to Revd John Monaghan if you, or someone you know, may be interested in having a conversation about this exciting role.

Out for a picnic this summer: if you need to use disposable utensils, make sure they are made of paper or bamboo rather than plastic.
Giving at St Andrew's and St Bartholomew's
Generous giving is an integral part of Christian discipleship. The apostle Paul says that giving is a primary responsibility for Christians: 'But since you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you – see that you also excel in this grace of giving. 2 Cor 8:7. For more information on how to give and where your money goes please download our giving flyer here.

Pastoral Care
As part of our Christian community, we provide mutual support for one another. Much of this happens informally with friends within the church and through the connect groups. However, sometimes people will require more personal support and encouragement either as a 'one-off chat' or on a more ongoing basis. For a conversation with someone on our Pastoral Care Team contact the office admin@stastb.church or phone 01452 712154 during office hours.
