When: Wednesdays, 7:30–9:00pm (refreshments from 7:15pm)
Where: St Andrew's Church
Dates: Wednesday 25 February – Wednesday 25 March (5 weeks)

Women's Day 2026

Saturday 7 March 2026

Please hold the date for Women's Day 2026. The theme will be Living Waters.

We are delighted to welcome Becky Harcourt, who leads a church in London, is part of the SOMA National Leadership Team, and is an Open Doors Ambassador.

Women's Day will focus on God's Spirit as our Living Water.
More details will follow in the new year.

Church Dreaming and Discerning Evening

We'd love our whole church to join us on Sunday 1st March 6-8pm as we take some time to share, pray and thank the Lord together. In particular we will be outlining some developing thoughts about planning for the future, including taking some time in groups to chat about our Mission, Values and Vision. This is part of a year long discernment process in 2026 with the Senior leadership, PCC and staff. Thank you for being a part of our wonderful church family as we look into the future, with Jesus at the centre, and with great hope and expectation.

Safeguarding and Safeguarding training update

This is just an update from the Safeguarding team to remind you:
Every adult in our church who can, should read our Safeguarding policy (found HERE on our website), know how and what to do in the event that someone discloses something to you or you feel that something is not right. Corinne Phillimore is our Parish Safegaurding Officer (PSO), and we currently have two volunteers helping with the administration around safely recruiting volunteers into roles - Debi Parry and Sue Francis. At a minimum, we would ask that every member of our church does the online Basic Awareness (BA) training via the Gloucester Diocese website here https://gloucester.anglican.org/about-us/safeguarding/training/

Safeguarding and training is important and non-negotiable if requested, although we want to answer your questions and help you understand if you can't do something requested

Sue and Debbi are helping Corinne with the admin and may contact you regarding helping in any ministry. Please do reply to them as promptly as you can, or let them know if you have a question so they don't have to chase you.

We need to know what training you have done and when! Once you have completed the online training (or if you have already done the training) please then go to Records – My Training Record – Edit my Profile
Scroll down to the box on this page, titled 'Local Reporting (Allow a user with the following email to view my training records)
Type in safeguarding@stastb.church Then in the 'Additional Local Reporting email' box, type in safeguardingadmin@stastb.church and finally click on 'update profile'.

Please let the safeguarding admin team know by email to safeguardingadmin@stastb.church when you have completed the training and updated your record. Thank you for playing your part in keeping our children and vulnerable adults safe from harm.

If you would like to include any updates in the weekly bulletin, send them to Adam. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday at 1pm.

Giving at St Andrew's and St Bartholomew's
Generous giving is an integral part of Christian discipleship. The apostle Paul says that giving is a primary responsibility for Christians: 'But since you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you – see that you also excel in this grace of giving. 2 Cor 8:7. For more information on how to give and where your money goes please download our giving flyer here.

Pastoral Care
As part of our Christian community, we provide mutual support for one another. Much of this happens informally with friends within the church and through the connect groups. However, sometimes people will require more personal support and encouragement either as a 'one-off chat' or on a more ongoing basis. We have a pastoral care team who can provide this type of care. Please contact Nigel Roe (Team Leader) on 07780 994827 or Rosi White on 07426 357967.
